CANNES MADAME TV
Exclusive Luxury Video Coverage — June 22-26, 2026
l Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity returned to the Croisette this June, once again transforming the advertising world’s biggest gathering into a global marketplace where technology, retail, media, luxury and entertainment converge. Beyond the awards and industry panels, this year’s edition drew an especially star-studded crowd to the French Riviera.
A LionHeart honoree with global reach
l Media icon Oprah Winfrey was among the festival’s headline names, honoured with the prestigious 2026 Cannes LionHeart Award, recognising individuals who have used their platform to drive meaningful, lasting change. Winfrey took the Lumière Theatre stage before receiving the award at the Awards Show, capping decades of shaping culture and amplifying underrepresented voices.
Fashion and entertainment take the spotlight
l Eva Longoria brought her own star power to the Croisette, part of a wave of A-list names — including Alan Cumming, Seth Meyers, Colin Jost and Questlove — who turned the festival into as much a cultural moment as an industry gathering.
l Priyanka Chopra Jonas represented the growing intersection of entertainment, entrepreneurship and purpose-led branding, bringing her global profile to the festival’s conversations on culture and creativity.
l Fashion designer Stella McCartney joined a discussion on circular commerce and the future of creative industries, reinforcing how sustainability has become a central theme across Cannes Lions’ programming.
Sport enters the conversation
l Formula 1 driver George Russell brought the world of motorsport to the Croisette, joining conversations on sponsorship, fandom and athlete-led influence — part of a broader trend of athletes becoming central voices in marketing and media.
The media industry makes its case
l Newsrooms were also front and center this year. Meredith Kopit Levien, CEO of The New York Times, took part in a live conversation at the festival, defending the commercial value of serious journalism and outlining the paper’s evolving approach to artificial intelligence and platform strategy — one of several sessions where global publishers made the case for trusted media in an AI-driven landscape.
A festival that keeps expanding
l From Demis Hassabis discussing the future of AI and creativity, to Jerry Bruckheimer’s conversation on storytelling, this year’s Cannes Lions once again proved that the festival’s reach now stretches far beyond advertising — bringing together the worlds of fashion, sport, entertainment and media on one stage, in one city.
